If a person has Exotic car he/she will think twice before parking it in the garage at home. He wants to keep it away from dents, scratches. He is very concerned about his car because it is very expensive. He does not allow anybody to lay a hand on it. But in certain circumstances when you have to move overseas you have to handle your car to a car transport company.

To ship an exotic car, you cannot go in for a cheap option. Choose a company that has certain years of experience in shipping an exotic car. This is very important because you cannot hand over your car to a company who has just entered this business. Once you have selected your auto transport company just check out if you want an enclosed carrier or open one. An enclosed carrier would be a better choice because your exotic car will be protected from certain elements like sun, heat, rain, snow etc.

Before shipping your car, just check out with the auto transport company that it is being insured. If anything happens to your car while it is in transit you can claim for the damages from them. Do check they have an insurance certificate. You can visit even their insurance agent and collect information as to how much they will be paid if anything happens to their car.

Shipping an exotic car may be a stressful work. So it would be advisable that you note down if there are any damages before shipping your car. Do take some photographs for future reference. Before shipping your exotic car do keep certain things in mind:

Do empty all the items inside the car. This should be done because the transporter will not compensate if anything is missing in the car. Plus, if there are items that can cause damage, you will not be compensated for that. See that tires and batteries are in working condition. This should be done because the transporter will charge extra if it the car does not move properly. Do not fill the entire tank with gas as this can increase the weight of the car. If your car gets damaged while loading or offloading, do record them.

Before shipping your car, do receive an original Inspection report from the auto transport company. This shows the condition of your car at the time of pick up, current mileage delivery and pick up information.

Definition of a ‘complaint’

A complaint is an expression of grievance, resentment, displeasure or dissatisfaction by any person about the delivery of any transport service.

When to complain:

You can file a complaint when you feel that your auto transport company has not treated you fairly and moderately as they claimed. If you suffered loss or damage as a result of move of your car you can file a complaint. If the auto transport company has not lived up to your expectations or have delayed in transporting your vehicles or have spoiled your vehicle, you may file a complaint.

Unacceptable complain:

The complaint which contains threats, verbal abuse, derogatory remarks or rudeness, will not be taken into notice. People may act out of nature in times of problem or distress. There may have been disappointing or distressing circumstances leading up to a complaint coming to your office. Aggression or abuse towards staff is unacceptable. The action of persistent complaint is unrecognizable when they take up what the transport regards as being a disproportionate amount and time.

How to file complain:

If situation arise where you got to file a complaint against your auto transport company then there are some rules and regulations to be followed but you might get puzzled in filing the complaint against the auto transport company. Here are the guidelines for filing the complaint against that company.

If you consider that a car transport company has not handled you reasonably, you can first try to work it out with the company. They frequently work on a referral basis and are inspired to working out problems. The contact number for the company will be clearly stated on the company’s bill sent to you or it will be stated in their own sites. The auto transport company with a detailed description of the problem and all relevant facts investigate with your issue and let you know the action that it plans to take. If you do not hear from the company within a reasonable time, or if you are not satisfied with the company’s action, you may go further.

Even though, if you believe you have arrived at a dead end or that you have not been treated fairly, you may think about the option of filing complaints with multiple agencies.

If all else fails, you may think about filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) in the city in which the car transport company is listed and you can also file complaint online.

And if nothing works, you can fill complain with State and/or Federal Department of Transportation. It’s very straightforward, simple and easy just file a complaint online on their website or you can also ring up. One more very important thing is that it’s very important that your representatives should know about all the issues and problems faced by the consumers. They will frequently not get engaged until after you have a court judgment against an Auto Transport Company and this seek legal counsel.

GPS or global position system utilizes satellite signals to track location. This system has become so precise that it can pinpoint an actual location to within yards. GPS has many uses, one of which as a GPS fleet tracking system. There are several benefits of using GPS for vehicle fleet tracking.

The GPS tracking system is used with software that a dispatcher accesses from the computer. This will allow better dispatch for service technicians or delivery drivers. There are usually delays when dispatching is done using a map and judgment of the dispatcher. With the aid of the GPS fleet tracking system, dispatches are made on a timely basis thus improving quality of service.

GPS system works in most areas including metropolitan and rural areas. Using the tracking system to dispatch employees and define routes will help to keep windshield time to a minimum. It avoids drivers passing each other en-route, cutting down on fuel consumption and wasted time.

Another great benefit of using the GPS fleet tracking system is to help drivers in navigation. Without GPS tracking, drivers can waste a lot of time driving in the wrong direction, looking for streets, asking for directions or stopping to check the map. A GPS fleet tracking system provides real time navigation for the driver, thus saving time and fuel expenses.

GPS fleet tracking system can be used to ensure that your staff is doing their jobs. It can track drivers so you know their whereabouts during working hours and acts as a deterrent to those who tend to shirk.

Besides supplying real time information, GPS fleet tracking system can provide reports of historical tracking which can be beneficial to staff. If there are any complaints from customers about time of arrival or the length of time spent at the location, these concerns can be verified from past record of GPS tracking.

GPS fleet tracking system reduces the risks of vehicle theft and employee fraud. If you are utilizing it in your fleet management, you should be able to negotiate a discount with your vehicle insurance provider.

GPS fleet tracking is a great technology that helps any business to improve productivity, reduce costs and increase profitability. It is not only used for managing mobile assets but also employees in any service, delivery or sales organization. Although initial capital investment in a tracking system is high, the benefits far outweigh the costs in the long run. Some GPS suppliers offer leasing or negotiable payment installment.

If you are planning to buy a new car, there are two best times to buy it. You should buy it between July to October, or you should buy it at the end of December. New car dealers usually clear space for new car models during July to October. The factory to dealer incentives can be one thousand to six thousand dollars. At the end of December, people spend their money on gifts. Car dealers usually do not have a lot of customers. So they usually try to make break year end sales.

You should learn about your credit score before deciding to buy a new car. Your credit score directly control your high an interest rate. You don’t want your car dealer know more about your car credit than you do.

If you have bad credit score, you don’t want to submit applications everywhere. You want to submit an application to a bad credit auto loan resource. You want to find someone that specializes in high risk car loans. Even if you have bankruptcy, it is still possible to get a car loan. If your credit score is higher than 525, you have a fighting chance. It is also important that you have job for at least 6 months, and you have no bad credit in the last 6 months. If you have bad credit, you probably have to pay high APR in the beginning. However, if you make payment on time, you may be able to auto refinance to a lower APR.

Everyone can use tips for buying a car. You may have owned a few cars before and know stuff about automobiles. But there are some things about cars that you do not know about, and could use some information from someone else.

Good timing is essential in buying a car. There is indeed a right time to buy cars. Do it when the newest models start to come in to the dealership.

This happens between the months of August and November. You will be sure of getting the newest models if you go car-shopping at this time. Do not let the sales persons sway you with their sales pitches into buying something you are not sure of.

Tell them what model you are looking for. Then they can do their persuasive best to sway you. Just do not take for granted the persuasive powers of these sales agents.

Never allow yourself to be pressured into buying a car. You could ask the agents regarding the models that they do not advertise. If you are a car techie, surf the Internet for the models you are interested in or on tips for buying a car.

To keep yourself safe from scams, do not present yourself as a potential victim. Only visit trustworthy websites and choose only the best bargains available. Usually, prices are negotiable, so get ready to negotiate once you get to a dealership.

There is also a best time to buy cars, which is on weekdays. On weekends is the time most people who want to buy cars go to dealerships. Avoid the crowds and go at a time when there are fewer customers, so the agents can focus on your concerns; this is another of those useful tips for buying a car.

When it is time to shop for a new car there are many things to take into consideration. One of the biggest decisions is whether you should choose car leasing or car buying. There are many fundamental differences between the two.

To help make your decision easier the following is a list of those differences:

- At the end of the car loan term you will own a car if you opted to buy. At the end of the car lease term you return the car to the dealer and are left with nothing.

- A car loan term is usually four to six years. A car lease term is typically two to four years.

- Monthly car loan payments are generally higher than car leasing payments. This is because you are only really only paying for the car’s depreciation during the car lease term plus interest, taxes and service fees.

- Most car leases limit the amount of mileage you can put on the vehicle. If you plan on traveling a great deal you will have to consider negotiating a higher mileage limit. This will mean slightly higher monthly payments. If you exceed the limit you will be required to pay a charge of between 10 to 15 cents per mile. If you choose to buy the vehicle this is not an issue.

- When leasing a car there are limits to the amount of wear you can cause to the vehicle. Excessive wear will result in extra charges. If you buy you can do what ever you want to your car.

- If you terminate a car lease before the term is over there usually is a charge. In the case of car buying if you buy out the remainder before the car loan term is up you are usually charged a fee as well.

- The up front costs of car leasing include first month’s auto lease payments, a refundable deposit, a capitalized cost reduction( similar to a down payment), taxes and service fees. The up front costs of car buying include a down payment, taxes, registration and other service fees.

- At the end of the car lease term you have to pay any charges for excess wear and mileage then you can either walk away or buy out the car. When you reach the end of the car loan term you have no further payments and you walk away with your car.

Consider all these differences before coming to a decision on whether to buy or lease your next vehicle. Your choice will effect quite a lot over the loan or lease term including your monthly auto loan payments as well as what you can do to your vehicle to a certain extent. If you know what your long term goals are it will allow you to select the right option for your next car.

Are you considering a new car extended warranty or a used car extended warranty? Are you concerned about finding the best value in purchasing such a warranty?

It is necessary to understand that a car extended warranty gives protection beyond the dealership warranty. On top of other features and benefits, an extended warranty allows you the flexibility to have your car repaired at any licensed service center in your area.

In addition to restoring mechanical breakdowns, these extended warranty benefits and features are likely to include:

A) 24 hour roadside assistance up to $100 for a specific number of occurrences,
B) car rental benefits if the car is towed to a repair dealer
C) trip interruption benefits,
D) further towing,
E) other services such as lock out, refilling of oil, or other fluids, and battery recharges.

Car purchasers often know nothing about auto warranties. They recall they are getting a magic golden wand that will reimburse for anything that goes wrong. Not true!

Read the legal print; as even with the greatest car extended warranty service plan, there are exclusions to what is covered. Often you will find so many specifics excluded from the warranty repair that you will wonder what exactly is covered other than the perks of roadside assistance, car rental, and other emergency services.

Many websites give tips on how to buy an extended auto warranty online. Research carefully, but remember many companies sell warranties. Don’t buy from the first establishment you look into.

Check out several, making sure the one you finalize on is a financially stable company that administers their own warranties and keeps high enough balances to pay all repair expenses that stretch into the future. Some places where you may obtain warranties from are warranty brokers, and insurance groups.

While your car dealership may offer a car extended warranty, it is sometimes in your best interest to purchase it elsewhere as the dealership many times will employ the warranty as a means to increase their profit by including it in the financing of the vehicle. This causes you to pay interest on the warranty; increasing your overall costs than if you purchase the warranty from an outside company.

Check a credit union, other insurance companies or internet sources for their options on extended car warranties. Buyers usually can negotiate the price of a warranty. A rule of thumb is that buyers may have a gross profit of one-third to negotiate the warranty. However, the less age and mileage your automobile has, the lower an extended warranty will cost.

Before you buy, read service contracts with the manufacture’s warranty. These often allow for warranty for three years or 36,000 miles or whichever comes first.

If you regularly trade your new car every three years, you most likely will never need a new car extended warranty as new cars tend to be fairly trouble free during the beginning years. However, if you’re ill-fated in life, love, and automobiles, then purchasing a new car warranty would be a valid move.

Although most people have been turning to the internet for purchasing everything from CDs and clothes to books and furniture for a long time now, not many people seemed to prefer purchasing a car online. But the situation is fast changing. More and more people are now turning to online sources not just to compare car prices, but also to actually make a purchase.

Whether you are planning on purchasing a brand new car or a used car, there are plenty of online automotive sites that offer reasonable new car prices and amazingly low used car prices. As a result, you can save thousands of dollars if you opt for car shopping online.

Online Car Purchase – Pros and Cons

Most people go in for online purchases due to the attractive car quotes. Most automotive sites offer access to huge databases of cars across the United States. That means you have the convenience of browsing through various sites and car categories from the comfort of your home. However, the downside of purchasing new or used cars online is that you do not get a chance to thoroughly inspect the car before confirming the purchase.

Things to Watch Out For

Before going in for an online car purchase, use this checklist to ensure a safe and good buy.

* Reputation of the site: Ensure safety by checking if the site is reputable and if it has been around for some time. Do not believe the new car price quote you receive out of the blue from a new site – it is likely to be a scam.

* Location: Take note of the areas where the cars are delivered throughout the United States. If you are from Maine, avoid a site that requires you to collect the car from Texas. Remember that most online dealers add the shipping charges to the car quote if you live far from their car delivery locations.

* Compare car prices: Always compare the car quote you receive with ones on other sites, newspaper ads or car showrooms.

* Request for the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) of the used car: If you are looking to buy a used car, the VIN allows you to get a detailed report of the car’s history. You thus get to know everything related to the car – if it has ever been involved in an accident, if its odometer is showing the exact mileage of the car, number of cylinders, its engine type, etc.

* Get everything in writing: Ask the dealer to provide you a detailed report of the car specifications and new car price quote in writing. This way, even if you find faults in the car after purchase, you will have sufficient evidence to make a complaint.

* Take along an expert: Before taking delivery of the car, let an expert or a mechanic do a simple inspection.

Reliable car dealer sites offer you plenty of new cars with exciting carquotes. These sites also offer used cars in good condition and cheap used car prices. Even if you are dealing with an established, online dealer, observe how good their customer service section is. With a bit of browsing around, you can easily find good dealers known for competitive car prices, impeccable service and satisfactory customer support. Get started right away, your dream car is probably just a few clicks away!

Assuming you are caught in a situation, where you are getting a new car and want to dispose of the one you are now using, you have two options. The first option is to contact a dealer who sells used cars and the other is to sell the car through your own efforts. The advantage of selling a car on your own is that you can get a higher price than what a dealer will be able to fetch. But the hitch is you will have to find the right buyer and that exercise can prove tedious and time consuming. It is common knowledge that selling a car privately is not easy and you will have to personally negotiate with people who do hard bargaining.

The first thing to do when you decide to sell your car is to put up an effective well-written ad. Keep the ad small and give details such as the car’s make, model and its general condition. You can also furnish the odometer reading as the car is a used one. You can insert an ad in the local newspaper and this is really effective as people in your local community will be seeing it and you can expect good response. Another way placing an ad is on the Internet. There are many well-known car sites in which you can place the ad.

Clean up the car thoroughly and try to give it a new shine. A well-maintained and good looking car will fetch you the price you expect because the prospective buyer will be impressed. Polishing the exterior body will make the car look clean and appealing. Make it a point to empty the inside of the car and remove all things from the boot. Check to see that all car fluids are at the right levels. This means you need to change the engine oil and see to it that the brake fluid is at the right level, before the buyers test drive the car. Have the tires checked and keep the tire pressure right. If your buyer is going to test drive it, he should not have a shaky ride because of low pressure in the tires.

It is prudent to keep the car’s service record ready to show the potential buyer details about how often you serviced the car. Keeping a copy of the car’s title document is also a good idea as your buyer will know for sure that you are the owner of the car. Buying a vehicle history report will also be an excellent idea. When you take the steps listed above, the buyer will rate you as a responsible owner and that you are not in a hurry to off-load a problem car.

If your goal is to purchase a better car, trading in your present car at the dealership can make the whole process quick and simple. You may not get the the price you would have commanded selling it on your own, but getting rid of your car speedily out weigh the difference in price. Please know there are some auto auctions that will sell your privately owned car, if you are willing to part with a modest percentage for their efforts. More often auction companies are used by banks to dispose of repossessed cars. But they may also be willing to dispose your used car for you.
